CTP Application <br />Innovation park @ Notre Dame <br />ATTACHMENT B <br />Page 3 <br />• Start-up companies recruited from other parts of the US or from other countries <br />seeking to harness the intellectual property or a technology platform at Notre Dame, <br />• Liaison offices and/or collaborative laboratory space for separately-funded larger <br />businesses that have, or wish to have, an ongoing research/technology development <br />relationship with the University of Notre Dame, and its faculty and students, <br />• Conceptual development ventures emerging from a University technology platform <br />pursuing proof of concept prior to company formation and market entry, and <br />• "Surge" space for University research awaiting dedicated campus facilities, or <br />cross-institutional endeavors with other organizations, e.g., IUSB, Purdue, industry, <br />etc. <br />• "Graduating" business moving from the Campus Site into the Studebaker Site or <br />other appropriate locations across St. Joseph County. <br />The City of South Bend and the University of Notre Dame understand that it is the <br />intention of the CTP legislation that the recapture funds made available through the CTP <br />legislation are intended to be derived from the above business types, and from specific <br />support facilities. <br />8 <br />
