Ms. O’Connor played a power point presentation that covered many of the programs and <br />events from 2008. <br /> <br /> <br />IX.Comments by the Golf Operations Director <br />1. Mr. Nowacki reported that aerifying has been completed and the irrigation system is being <br />blown out for winter. <br />2. Fall rates are in effect. <br />3. New computers have been installed for the irrigation system. <br />4. Capital projects have been completed. <br />5. A number of outings are taking place. <br /> <br /> <br />X.Comments by the Zoo Director <br /> <br />1. Mr. DeRosa reported that the bison have been moved to their new quarters. <br />2. Renovations and improvements continue and are on schedule. <br />3. Zoo Boo will be held October 24-26. <br /> <br /> <br />XI.Comments by Maintenance Superintendent <br /> <br />1. Mr. Mike Dyszkiewicz informed the Board that mowing is still ongoing and leaf pick up <br />will begin soon. <br />2. Water is being turned off in the parks and bathrooms are closing. Boilers are being <br />prepared for the heating season. <br />3. Cement for picnic pads is being poured. <br />4. The repairs at the ice rink are done and will be pressure tested. He felt the ice rink should <br />be operating normally this year. <br /> <br /> <br />XII.Comments by the Director of Marketing & Promotions <br /> <br />1. Mr. Payton reported that TGI Fridays is partnering with us for the Zoo Boo event at the <br />Zoo. <br />2. He has been in discussions with the new Culver’s restaurant to help with sponsorships for <br />various events. <br />3. Promotions for the Haunted House will be airing this week. <br />4. We are submitting applications for various awards at the Indiana Recreation and Parks <br />Association meeting in January. <br />5. He has been working with Mr. Nowacki to secure advertising at the golf courses next year <br />from local companies. <br /> <br /> <br />XIII.There being no more business to come before the Board the meeting adjourned at <br />5:16 p.m. <br /> - - 3 - - <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
