Bac1011. All excavations under pavement shall be backfilled in accordance with <br /> Section J entitled 'Backfilling" of the En.'--- 2.- : .: -e o•• • o <br /> cut not less than one and one half(11/2) inches. <br /> • . <br /> pavements not presently surfaced with an asphaltic material shall be Class A, <br /> with eight(8) inches of concrete,except in some residential streets where the <br /> City Engineer may require the brick to be replaced. <br /> finished flush with the surface of the existing concrete and the asphaltic surface <br /> replaced. <br /> (1) Hot asphaltic concrete, sheet asphalt, emulsified asphalt, chip seals, and oil mat <br /> pavements. All asphaltic and oil type pavements shall be replaced with a hot <br /> Base, Binder and Surface of the latest Indiana State Highway Standard <br /> Specifications. The thickness of the pavement shall be equal to that which <br /> existed,but not less than three(3) inches.Not less than eight(8)inches of coarse <br /> aggregate Class A or B, Size No. 53 Section K3 of the State Highway <br /> Specifications shall be placed under any asphaltic concrete patch unless a <br /> six (6) inches around the concrete patch so that the two (2)joints are offset. <br /> (5) Temporary patch. If it is not possible, due to w ather conditions, for the <br /> asphaltic surface shall be applied and maintained as a temporary patch until <br /> permanent repairs can be made. In no case shall a temporary patch be maintained <br /> more than six (6)months before permanent repairs are made. <br /> Section IX. The title to Article 3 of Chapter 18, and Section 18-35 of that Chapter and <br /> Article of the South Bend Municipal Code are hereby amended to read in their entirety as <br /> follows: <br /> ARTICLE 3 — CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR OF SIDEWALKS, CURBS_ M) <br /> GUTTERS,DRIVEWAYS, ALLEYS,AND ROADWAYS <br /> Sec. 18-35 Duty of abutting property owner; permit;issuance; fees. <br /> 5 <br />
