Section 11. The word "owner" as used 'herein shall mean any <br />person who owns,keeps or harbors any dog other than puppies not <br />more than three weeks old,and other than dog breeders,holding Rear <br />Licenses,as provided by the statutes of the State of Indiana. <br />Section 12. It shall be unlawful for any owner to wilfully <br />and negligently allow any dog so owned by him to run at large <br />within the city limits of the City of South Bend unless said dog <br />shall be immunized against rabies and tagged,as provided above,or <br />unless said dog shall be so muzzled as to render it impossible to <br />bite a human being. <br />Section 13. Nothing set forth herein shallhave the force and <br />effect of releaving the owner of any dog from complying with all <br />statutes of the State of Indiana pertaining to dogs,or relieve the <br />owner from liability for damages inflicted by said dog to the per <br />-son or property of other persons. <br />Section 14. No dog immunized against rabies,as a£oresaid,and <br />provided with a metal tag as aforesaid,or muzzled,as aforesaid, <br />shall be killed by the police officers of the City of South Bend, <br />while running at large unless said dog is manifestly vicious or <br />suffering from rabies, <br />Section 15, It shall be the ;duty of every person owning a <br />dog which has been attacked or bitten.by a dog or other animal <br />showing symptoms of rabies,to immediately notify the Board of <br />Health of such fact and upon demand of said Board of Health shall <br />surrender said dog to said Board of Health for quarantine and ea- <br />amination. <br />Section 160 Any person who violates any of the provisions of <br />this ordinance shall upon conviction thereof be fined any sum no <br />less than Ten Dollars (10) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($I O). <br />Section 12. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conni t <br />herewith are hereby repealed in so far as they conflict with the <br />provisions of this ordinances � � e -Al ,D <br />6 �, <br />
