of the train crews, afford sufficient protection to the public in its <br />use of said crossings. <br />THEREFORE, be it enacted by the Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend, Indiam: <br />SECTION I. Said Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company be, <br />and it is hereby required to protect the intersection of its Rift of Way <br />with the following public streets in the City of South Bend, Indiana, in <br />manner and form as follows, to -wit: At. St. Joseph, Carroll, Columbia, <br />Fellows Streets and Lincolnway East with flashlights manually operated <br />between the hours of 6 A.M. and 6 P.M. of each days at the four streets <br />last named and in addition t9 said flashlights operated as ecoresaids by <br />requiring all switching movements at any hour of the day or night, over <br />each and all of said crossings, that are not headed by an engine, be <br />protected by a member of the crew stationed conspicuously on the crossing. <br />SECTION II. That so much of said Ordinance No. 2736 as <br />is inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance be, and the same is <br />hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. That any violation of any of the provisions <br />of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not less than $50.00, and <br />each violation shall constitute <br />_per - <br />rO Q , <br />- : T4 <br />ell <br />�� I <br />
