Councilmember Schey seconded the motion which <br />carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />BILL NO. 14 -10 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, DECLARING <br />THE FIRST TWO WEEKS IN FEBRUARY 2014 AS <br />NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELING WEEKS IN <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA WITH THIS YEAR'S THEME <br />BEING SCHOOL COUNSELING: BUILDING <br />MAGICAL FUTURES <br />Indiana University no one present (tabled) Bill 14 -10 to next meeting. <br />MAYOR'S ANNUAL ADDRESS TO THE CITY COUNCIL PURSUANT TO SECTION 2 -3.1 <br />OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE <br />At this time according to South Bend Municipal code we will have Mayor's annual address to <br />the committee section 2 -3 -1 Mayor separate speech on this week on Wednesday at 6:30pm at the <br />Century Center. He would also like the Mayor to address the article in the newspaper yesterday <br />and then start presentation. <br />Mayor Pete Buttigieg received a letter from the council, letter indicated a preference for those <br />signing that there is dialogue in between city of South Bend and City of Mishawaka. Within a 4 <br />mile radius utility extension boundaries to having productive conversations with the mayor of <br />Mishawaka if council refers that bill today to the utilities committee will be ample time in two <br />weeks for that committee to take any action or public any debate to have a productive and fully <br />evolved discussion with Mishawaka. <br />
