Approving the Transfer of Certain Real Estate by the South Bend Board of Park Commissionsers to South Bend Redevelopment Authority

WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -3 the transfer of said property is subject to the approval of the Mayor and the Common Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS AS FOLLOWS: The parcels of land comprising Howard Park walkway and sea wall, Viewing Park, the West Riverbank walkway near Century Center and the Morris Civic Auditorium Park, which parcels are located within the South Bend Central Development Area and are more completely described in Exhibits A, B, C and D attached hereto and made a part hereof, shall be transferred to the South Bend Redevelopment Authority pursuant to I.C. 36- 10- 4 -9(8) and I.C. 36- 1 -11 -3 for public improvement consistent with the purposes set forth in I.C. 36 -7 -14.5, subject to the approval of the Mayor and the South Bend Common Council. The Board of Public Works shall take all steps necessary to facilitate and effectuate the transfer of the Morris Civic Auditorium Park to the South Bend Authority. The President or vice President and the Secretary of the Board of Park Commissioners are the proper parties to execute the deeds transferring the Howard Park walkway and sea wall, Viewing Park, and the West Riverbank walkway near Century Center, and the Mayor and City Clerk are the proper parties to execute the deeds transferring the Morris Civic Auditorium Park.
