-27- <br />of condensation from such pipes entering any sewer or drain, <br />shall not be over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. All steam con- <br />densation discharge into any sewer shall be properly trapped <br />with a check valve, inspected, and a permit shall be required <br />therefor. <br />Section XCIII. All direct connected hydraulic elevators, <br />lifts or pressure machines shall be provided with an inter- <br />mediate tank of sufficient capacity as to discharge its waste <br />without pressure into any sewer, drain, soil or waste pipe, <br />Such tanks shall be trapped. <br />Section XCIv. The waste pipe from a refrigerator, ice <br />box or ice tray, or any receptacle in which provisions are <br />stored, shall not connect directly to any drain, soil or <br />waste pipes, and such waste pipes shall be arranged so that <br />they may be properly flushed, The discharge of same shall <br />run into an open fixture properly trapped and with a water <br />supply brought to same to maintain the seal in trap when <br />the refrigerator is not iced or in use. Where two or more <br />refrigerator waste pipes lead into a common discharge pipe, <br />said discharge pipe shall be continued full size up through <br />the roof and terminate with an open end for ventilation. <br />Section XCV. The overflow pipe from a tank shall not <br />be directly connected with any drain, soil or waste pipe. <br />Such pipe shall discharge into an open fixture or in a roof <br />gutter. <br />Section XCVI. Waste pipes from safe wastes placed under- <br />neath fixtures shall not be directly connected with any drain, <br />soil or waste pipe. Such pipes shall discharge into an open <br />fixture or upon the cellar floor. All arrangements shall be <br />subject to the approval of the Plumbing Inspector. <br />Section XCVII. The waste pipes and traps for acid tanks, <br />sinks and other receptacles receiving the discharge of acids <br />in chemical laboratories, electrotyping, lithographing and <br />other similar establishments must be made of Duriron, extra <br />
