-26- <br />central and the branches connect into the house side of the <br />traps. <br />Section XC. Traps for bath tubs, basins, sinks, or <br />other similar fixtures shall be made of lest} brass or <br />galvanized cast iron. Drum traps shall be used for the <br />foot seat or bath tubs and shall not be less than four <br />inches in diameter. <br />Galvanized or cast iron traps shall be extra heavy <br />full bore throughout, and have a smooth interior water way <br />and threads tapped out of solid metal. <br />Iron drum traps shall be made of extra heavy cast or <br />malleable iron, or galvanized, and the drum shall not exceed <br />four (4) inches in diameter. Drum traps shall have a water <br />seal of not more than seven (7) inches nor less than two <br />inches. <br />Section XCI. There shall be no trap at the foot of soil <br />or waste pipe stacks upon the house drain or house sewer. <br />Bell traps or traps having covers over handholes on the <br />sewer side of the trap which are held in place by bolts or <br />lugs, are prohibited. <br />In no case shall the waste from the bath tub or other <br />fixture be connected witha water closet trap. <br />In no case shall a waste pipe from any other fixture be <br />connected to the house side, or in the seal of the water <br />closet trap, or be wiped into the heel of a lead bend. <br />Such connections shall be made so that the discharge <br />of water shall not disturb the seal of the water closet trap. <br />Overflow pipes from fixtures shall in each case be <br />connected on the inlet side of the trap. <br />Section XCII. No steam, exhaust, blowoff, drip or <br />return pipe from any steam trap shall connect with the <br />sewer or with any house drain, soil, or waste pipe or rainwater <br />drain pipe, without being properly trapped.
