-24- <br />existing building, the owner of the new building shall not <br />locate windows within twelve (12) feet of any existing vent <br />stack in the lower building, unless the owner of such new <br />building shall himself make such alteration to conform to <br />this Code. <br />Section LXXXII. Conductors shall be constructed of extra <br />heavy cast iron or galvanized wrought iron pipe when placed <br />within the walls of any house or building and shall be tested <br />by the water test, as hereinafter provided for soil stacks. <br />Section LXXXIII. Conductor pipes shall not be used as <br />soil, waste, venting, back vent pipes. <br />Section LXXXIV. When an existing sheet metal conductor <br />Pipe within the walls of any building becomes defective, such <br />conductor shall be replaced by one which conforms to this Code. <br />Section LXXXV. Each single fixture shall be separately <br />trapped by a water seal trap, placed as close to the fixture <br />as possible. <br />Each cellar or are drain shall be provided with a deep J <br />seal trap, i.e. the trap must contain at least a 4 -inch water <br />seal and be constructed on the continuous pipe trap principle; <br />the trap seal is indicated by the height of the water column <br />measured between the overflow and the tip separating the <br />inlet and outlet arms of the trap. Such drain shall in no <br />case be placed within five feet of the base of the soil <br />stack to which a rain water drain connects, unless a said <br />floor drain is properly revented. <br />A set of not more than three wash trays or washstands or <br />a set of one or two wash trays with sink combined, may <br />connect with a single trap, provided the trap is placed <br />central and the branches connect into the house side of the <br />traps. <br />Section LXXXVI. Every trap shall be self cleaning. No <br />form of trap which depends upon the action of movable parts <br />
