REGULAR MEETING APRIL 14, 2015 ill WHEREAS, I.C. 36-1-11-8 governs the exchange of property by the City with another governmental entity; and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend Fire Department owns the attached list of equipment, machinery, and computers; and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend Fire Department Emergency Management System (EMS) has now been designated as an enterprise for the purposes of fiscal reporting; and WHEREAS, the attached list of items are to be used by the South Bend Fire Department EMS; and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend Fire Department EMS seeks the transfer by the South Bend Fire Department to it of said equipment, machinery, and computers; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the South Bend Fire Department to transfer said equipment, machinery, and computers to the City of South Bend Fire Department EMS Division. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend the transfer to the South Bend Fire Department EMS of the attached list of equipment, machinery, and computers as indicated. Martin, Clerk ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 16-2015 — A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY Upon a motion made by Mr. Relos, seconded by Mr. Henthom and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO. 16-20 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the following Property is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and is no longer needed by the City of South Bend: THREE (3) NITRIFICATION TOWERS AT CITY OF SOUTH BEND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT WHEREAS, Indiana Code 5-22-21-6(4)(B) permits and establishes procedure for disposal of personal property which is considered worthless, has no market value, or if the value of the property is less than the estimated costs of the sale and transportation of the property. This equipment is no longer needed by the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend that the items listed above are considered worthless, has no market value, or if the value of the property is less than the estimated costs of the sale and transportation of the property . This equipment is no longer needed by the City.
