Drake Annexation Area S <br />J. Municipal Legislative District <br />The Annexation Area will be in the 6th District. <br />l{. Hiring Plan <br />It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any <br />other governmental entities. The Centre Township Trustee has been notified of this Annexation. <br />SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />A. Public Works <br />Sewer - A 30" diameter public sewer is available on the Main Street frontage of the <br />Annexation area. It has sufficient capacity to carry load expected from. this area. Pzrblic sewer <br />extensions, at developer expense, tivill be necessary to serve airy new lots created by fi~ttrre strbrlivision <br />of this annexation area, if any. The wastewater treatment plant and the downstream collection <br />facilities are adequately sized to handle the additional flow. No capital expenditure would be needed <br />for those facilities as a result of this annexation. Revenues from the development of the site will be <br />sufficient to provide sewage collection and treatment services to the site. <br />Water -The South Bend Water Works currently has a 12" water main on the west side of U.S. 31 <br />South that extends south of Kern Road. There are also 6" mains on Willis and on Burdette that <br />loop through Irish Crossings. Recent flow teat data does not exist but static pressure is 70 psi and <br />there is adequate capacity in the annexation area. . <br />Extensions of, or taps into sanitary sewer and water lines shall be governed by LC. 36-9-22-2, <br />I.C. 8-1.5-3 and 4, and the rules and regulations of the South Bend Water Works and Sewer Utility. <br />Street Lighting -The developer of this property will be required to install a street lighting system. <br />Additional revenue to the General Fund from this annexation area will be sufficient to pay for <br />street light operations. <br />Waivers of Annexation - No waivers of annexation are in effect for the Annexation Area. <br />Streets -Boundary streets in this annexation area are already within the City limits and are <br />being maintained by the City. No capital expenditure will be needed to extend sweeping and snow <br />removal service to the area. Gas tax reimbursements to the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund pay for <br />operation of the service. <br />
