Drake Annexation Area S J. Municipal Legislative District The Annexation Area will be in the 6th District. l{. Hiring Plan It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any other governmental entities. The Centre Township Trustee has been notified of this Annexation. SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES A. Public Works Sewer - A 30" diameter public sewer is available on the Main Street frontage of the Annexation area. It has sufficient capacity to carry load expected from. this area. Pzrblic sewer extensions, at developer expense, tivill be necessary to serve airy new lots created by fi~ttrre strbrlivision of this annexation area, if any. The wastewater treatment plant and the downstream collection facilities are adequately sized to handle the additional flow. No capital expenditure would be needed for those facilities as a result of this annexation. Revenues from the development of the site will be sufficient to provide sewage collection and treatment services to the site. Water -The South Bend Water Works currently has a 12" water main on the west side of U.S. 31 South that extends south of Kern Road. There are also 6" mains on Willis and on Burdette that loop through Irish Crossings. Recent flow teat data does not exist but static pressure is 70 psi and there is adequate capacity in the annexation area. . Extensions of, or taps into sanitary sewer and water lines shall be governed by LC. 36-9-22-2, I.C. 8-1.5-3 and 4, and the rules and regulations of the South Bend Water Works and Sewer Utility. Street Lighting -The developer of this property will be required to install a street lighting system. Additional revenue to the General Fund from this annexation area will be sufficient to pay for street light operations. Waivers of Annexation - No waivers of annexation are in effect for the Annexation Area. Streets -Boundary streets in this annexation area are already within the City limits and are being maintained by the City. No capital expenditure will be needed to extend sweeping and snow removal service to the area. Gas tax reimbursements to the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund pay for operation of the service.
