Section 9 - Electric Circuit for Heating Equipment Only. The owner shall <br />furnish a separate electrical circuit of proper voltage and capacity to be run <br />from the house service to a separate panel. This panel shall be for heating <br />equipment only. <br />ART II. - Gravity ,:'arm Air Heating Systems. <br />Article 1 - Definitions. <br />Section 1. Gravity warm -air heating systems shall consist of one <br />or more warm -air furnaces, properly cased, together with necessary parts eonsi§ting <br />of warm -air leader pipes and fittings, return -air ducts, risers, boxes, fittings, <br />smokepipe or ventpipe, registers, return =air intakes, and controls. <br />aection 2. In all cases where the term "manual" is used, reference is <br />made to the then existing latest edition of the Code and u.anual For the Design <br />and Installation of Gravity Vlarm Air Heating Systems as issued by the National <br />Warm Air Heating and Air Conditioning Association, 145 Public Square, Cleveland <br />14, Ohio. <br />Article 2 - Estimating Heat Loss <br />From Rooms and Building. <br />Section 1. The heat loss in B.t.u. per hour from each room to be <br />heated shall be determined in accordance with the approved method given in the <br />Yanual, Section A. These values of heat loss are to be used in determining the <br />required standard sizes of warm -air and return -air ducts, stacks or risers, <br />fittings, registers, and return intakes. <br />Section 2. The total heat loss from the building, in B.t.u. per hour, <br />is the sum of the room heat losses, and is used to determine the size and capacity <br />of the furnace required. <br />Article 3 - Selection of the Furnace <br />Section 1. The furnace shall be selected to satisfy the maximum hourly <br />B.t.u. requirements of the building, in accordance with the method specified in <br />the Akanual, Section B. <br />Section 2. All furnaces shall be rated in accordance with existing codes <br />and methods recognized by the National ?"arm Air Heating and Air Conditioning <br />Association. Ratings shall include both Bonnet Capacity and Register Delivery, in <br />B.t.u. per hour. Register delivery is based upon a 25 per cent reduction from <br />the bonnet capacity. <br />- 5 - <br />
