REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 24, 2015 46 APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS — TWO 2 MORE OR LESS 2015 OR NEWER, MID -SIZE EXTENDED CAB FOUR WHEEL DRIVE PICK UP TRUCKS SPEC O CODE ENFORCEMENT CAPITAL LEASE PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST) In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Jeffrey Hudak, Central Services, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referenced project. Therefore, upon a motion made by Patrick Henthorn, seconded by David Relos and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS THIRTY - NINE 39 MORE OR LESS 2015 OR NEWER ALL WHEEL DRIVE POLICE PATROL VEHICLES (POLICE DEPARTMENT CAPITAL LEASE PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST) In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Jeffrey Hudak, Central Services, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referenced project. Therefore, upon a motion made by Patrick Henthorn, seconded by David Relos and carried, the above request was approved. _APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS — IGNITION PARK INFRASTRUCTURE — PHASE 1 C — PROJECT NO. 114 -063 In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Corbitt Kerr, Engineering, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referenced project. Therefore, upon a motion made by David Relos, seconded by Patrick Henthorn and carried, the above request was approved. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 01 -2015— A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PROPERTY Upon a motion made by Gary Gilot, seconded by David Relos and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO. 01-2015 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE WRITE -OFF OF UNCOLLECTABLE UTILITY BILLED ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE FOR 2011 -2014 WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, through the Bureaus of Water Works, Solid Waste, and Sewers billed various municipal services to customers; and WHEREAS, the unsuccessfully collected accounts receivable is written off after all attempt efforts are put forth to collect and recover the charges, complying with the Indiana State Board of Accounts for Bad Debts and Uncollectible Accounts; WHEREAS, the City of South Bend by and through its Board of Public Works, desires to write off various billed bad debt accounts. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, that a direct write -off of $510,324 for 2014; $491,956 for 2013; $441,644 for 2012; and $353,626 for 2011 for a total of $1,797,550 be approved.
