Staszewski Annexation Area 3 <br />SECTION I. INTRODUCTION <br />A. General <br />This Fiscal Plan represents the City of South Bend's (hereinafter, "City ") policy for the annexation <br />of property in German Township, St. Joseph County (hereinafter, "Annexation Area "), and was <br />developed through the cooperative efforts of the Area Plan Commission and the following City <br />Departments: <br />Legal Department <br />Department of Public Works <br />South Bend Fire Department <br />South Bend Police Department <br />Department of Code Enforcement <br />Department of Community and Economic Development <br />Department of Administration and Finance <br />B. Need for Annexed Property <br />The Annexation Area is territory that is needed and can be used by the City for its development in <br />the reasonably near future. It is the intent of the Redevelopment a Commission of the City of <br />South Bend to purchase the residence and propoerty of the Annexation Area. The Annexation <br />Area is within a heavily developing industrial area. The Annexation Area already has industrial <br />development to its south and west, and has an industrial subdivision platted to its east. The <br />Redevelopment Commission cannot complete the purchase of the Annexation Area until it is <br />within the city limits of South Bend. <br />SECTION II. GENERAL DATA <br />A. Location <br />The Annexation Area is located on the east side of Olive Road, approximately 1,300 feet north of <br />Cleveland Road. See Map 1. <br />B. Legal Description <br />The Annexation Area is part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 19, Township 38 North, Range 2 <br />East, German Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana.
