James & Barbara Kidder Annexation Area 5 <br />J. Municipal Legislative District <br />The Annexation Area will be in the 1 st District. <br />K. Hiring Plan <br />It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any <br />other govermnental entities. The Warren and German Township Trustees have been notified of <br />this annexation. <br />SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />A. Public Works <br />Sewer - Existing sanitary sewers are located on both Olive Road and Cleveland Road. A sewer <br />extension will be required. The sewer extension will paid using Sewage Works funds. <br />Water - There is an existing 16 -inch water main on the west side of Olive Road. There is <br />sufficient flow at this time for the area. <br />South Bend's sewage collection system and water distribution system have adequate capacity to <br />service this developing industrial area. No new expenditures will be needed to existing facilities. <br />Revenue to the Water Works and the Division of Environmental Services will be sufficient to <br />provide operation and maintenance of the water distribution facilities and the sewage collection <br />facilities. <br />Streets - A new street, starting at the western edge of Olive Road will be constructed. The Street <br />Department will accomplish street sweeping, snow removal and normal maintenance, once the <br />surface course of pavement is complete and accepted by the Board of Public Works. The <br />additional roadway mileage will increase the Motor Vehicle Highway fund sufficiently to <br />maintain and operate the roadways. The cost of the new street to service this area will be a shared <br />cost between the water works and sewage funds.
