Salah & Cynthia Mal 11 Annexation Area 3 <br />SECTION I. INTRODUCTION <br />A. General <br />;- This Fiscal Plan represents the City of South Bend's (hereinafter, "City ") policy for the annexation, <br />of property in German Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana (hereinafter, "Annexation Area "), <br />and was developed through the cooperative efforts of the Area Plan Commission and the following <br />City Departments: <br />Legal Department <br />Department of Public Works <br />South Bend Fire Department <br />South Bend Police Department <br />Department of Code Enforcement <br />Department of Community and Economic Development <br />Department of Administration and Finance <br />NOTE: The Annexation Area represented in this fiscal plan is the eastern 500 feet of the total <br />property ownership. The western half of the ownership was annexed into the City with an <br />effective date of January 6, 2003. <br />SECTION II. GENERAL DATA <br />A. Location <br />The Annexation Area is located on the west side of Portage Avenue, approximately 2,700 feet <br />north of Cleveland Road. See Map 1. <br />B. Legal Description <br />The Annexation Area is part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 22, Township 38 North, Range 2 <br />East, German Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana. For a complete legal description see Table 2. <br />C. Contiguity <br />The Annexation Area is at least 1/8 (12.5 %) contiguous to the current City limits: <br />Contiguous Non - Contiguous Total (approx.) <br />292.27 feet 1,255.72 feet 1,547.99 feet <br />18.9% 81.1% 100.00% <br />
