Article 2 Building Rules and Procedures be amended by adding thereto: Sect. 6-6.5. Sign Permits: ~l No~erson firm or corporation shall erect or cause to be erected a sign in the City without obtaining, in advance, a sign permit from the Department. (b) The applicant shall file with the Department a completed application on the form provided, with all information indicated on the application submitted in full and with all other required information. ~.) All persons, firm, or corporation erecting signs in the City for renumeration shall be registered with the Department. Registration shall be on forms provided by the Department and be accompanied by a Five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) bond made payable to the City of South Bend indemnifying the City against all loss or damage to public wadpublic places, and other public property during the course of the work under the sign permit and further conditioning that the applicant will indemnify the City and pay any and all personal and property damages caused by any negligent act or omission in the erection of such sign, insurance certificate as required by Chapter 21 of the South Bend Municipal Code, and payment of a registration fee of Seventy-five dollars ($75.00). Said registration shall be for a term of one year from the date of issuance.
