Development Area acquisition list to the NNDA acquisition list; and (iv) approved an <br /> amendment to the development plan for the Northeast Neighborhood Area (as amended, such <br /> plan shall be referred to herein as the "NNDA Plan"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission on August 28, 2014, approved and adopted its <br /> Resolution No. 3229 entitled "Resolution of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br /> Designating and Declaring Certain Areas as Economic Development Areas to Amend the <br /> Boundaries of the Airport Economic Development Area by Adding the Remainder of the South <br /> Bend Central Development Area, Certain Territory of the West Washington-Chapin <br /> Development Area and Certain Expansion Areas to the Airport Economic Development Area, <br /> Designating Such Territories and Areas as Part of the Airport Economic Development Area <br /> Allocation Area No. 1 and Approving of an Amendment to the Development Plan for the Airport <br /> Economic Development Area" (the "AEDA Declaratory Resolution"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the AEDA Declaratory Resolution (i) consolidated into the Airport <br /> Economic Development Area, which will be known as the River West Development Area, (the <br /> "Airport Area") the portion of the remaining territory of the Central Development Area; <br /> (ii) consolidated certain territory of the West Washington-Chapin Development Area (the <br /> "WWC Area") into the Airport Area; (iii) designated and declared certain areas within the City <br /> to be economic development areas and allocation areas for purposes of tax increment financing <br /> (the "Airport Area Expansion Areas") to expand the existing Airport Area; (iv) removed certain <br /> territory from the Airport Area; (v)terminated the allocation provisions relating to the <br /> Downtown Medical Services District within the City; (vi) added certain parcels of property to the <br /> Airport Area acquisition list; (vii) transferred certain property previously included on the Central <br /> Development Area acquisition list to the Airport Area acquisition list; (viii)transferred certain <br /> property previously included on the WWC Area acquisition list to the Airport Area acquisition <br /> list; and (ix) approved an amendment to the economic development plan for the Airport Area (as <br /> amended by the AEDA Plan Amendment, such plan shall be referred to herein as the "AEDA <br /> Plan"); and <br /> WHEREAS, upon the conclusion of the actions required by the Act to confirm the <br /> SSDA Declaratory Resolution, the NNDA Declaratory Resolution and the AEDA Declaratory <br /> Resolution, the Commission directs the Department of Community Investment (the <br /> "Department") staff to prepare amendments to the NNDA Plan (the "NNDA Plan Amendment") <br /> and the AEDA Plan (the "AEDA Plan Amendment") for the purpose of realigning the goals and <br /> objectives of each of such plans and to consider whether any further amendment of the SSDA <br /> Plan is necessary or appropriate as a result of the adoption of the foregoing declaratory <br /> resolutions; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission desires that the Department staff include, as part of <br /> the AEDA Plan Amendment, amendments adding three (3) properties commonly known as <br /> Leeper Park, the Museum Campus and City Cemetery to the Airport Area; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment <br /> Commission as follows: <br /> 2 <br /> US.55024256.01 <br />
