dour petitioner +;,ould call to the attention of this rionorabl <br />Body that the vacated alleys in said square block heretofore <br />described, have never been officially zoned in any manner as they <br />were vacated subsequent to the passage of the zoning ordinance <br />affecting the described real estate. <br />your retitioner desires to call to the attention of the <br />Common Council that all of said real estate herein described and <br />o� -rned by the undersi -ned petitioner, is occupied by the St. <br />P:Iatthews Homan Cacholi.c Church and School and buildings incident <br />to the operation of said Church and School. <br />Your petitioner now prays 'ahe Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend that Lots Lumbered :Fifty -Seven (57) throw Sixty <br />Four (64) inclusive in said plat be changed from their present <br />zoning of "C" Commercial to the zoning classification of "B" <br />Residential District and that the "E" height and__.rea District <br />now -orovided for said lots remain unchanged, and your petitioner <br />;rould i °urther pray the Common Council of the City of South Bend <br />that all of the rest and remainder of the real estate herein <br />described including the vacated alleys horeinbefore referred to, <br />be changed from the present zoning of "A" Residential District <br />and "A" Height and Area District to "B" Residence and "E" Height <br />and Area District for the following reasons: <br />1. hat it is the purpose of the undersigned, to cause a <br />&AZ elft�� <br />rectory for the use of the priests on a portion of the property <br />now zoned Corraercial and that under said Commercial zoning, a <br />building being erected for dwelling purposes, is not permitted. <br />2. Your petitioner desires to have all of said tract of <br />real estate in the same zoning and Height and use classification. <br />3. That it is contemplated that a gymnasium and auditorium <br />be erected on a portion of the real estate fronting on Dale <br />Avenue, v,Th.ich said use will be an accessory building; incident to <br />the operation of the private school to :.rhich use the property is <br />presently being put and that such use is not permitted as a matt <br />2. <br />
