Christa Ford from the APC staff explained the request. She said it was for the old Steve & Barry's <br />Outlet /Martin's /Target Building on Hickory. The petitioner hoped to convert this vacant space into an <br />indoor storage facility of nearby 121 thousand sq. ft. Additional outdoor storage would never exceed <br />24,000 sq. ft. <br />Mike Danch represented the petitioner. He answered Council questions indicating all landscaping and <br />setback requirements would be met. Hel also reported a unanimous favorable recommendation from <br />the Area Plan Commission. <br />The Council added additional landscaping, lighting, requirements before sending the bill favorably to full <br />Council with those contingencies. Derek dieter had made the appropriate motion, seconded by Gavin <br />Ferlic before it was affirmed by all. <br />The next agenda item, bill 30 -14, was a petition to rezone 1707 South Bend Ave. from LB local business <br />to GB general business. Christa Ford explained the petitioner hoped to expand a vacant building <br />damaged by fire. She reported the APC had heard the proposal and given it a favorable <br />recommendation. <br />In that the petitioner was not present, bill was given no recommendation on a motion by Gavin Ferlic, <br />seconded by Henry Davis and affirmed by all. <br />The last item, bill 14 -59 was withdrawn at the request of the petitioner. <br />Tim Scott adjourned the meeting at 4:43 P.M. <br />espectfully Submi tet( <br />Tim Scott, Chairperson <br />Zoning & Annexation <br />
