<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roos and carried, the above bids were
<br />referred to Central Services and Purchasing for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID — IVY TOWER REMOVAL OF LEAD -BASED PAINT PHASE 1 — PROJECT
<br />NO. 114 -011 (AEDA TIF)
<br />Mr. John Engstrom, Engineering, advised the Board that on May 27, 2014, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Engstrom
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Environmental Demolition Group, L.L.C., 609 E. Jefferson Blvd., Mishawaka, Indiana 46545, in
<br />the amount of $1,848,600.00. Therefore, Mr. Relos made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Henthorn seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.
<br />TABLE BID AWARD — FELLOWS STREET ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS — PROJECT
<br />NO. 112 -006 (SSDA TIF)
<br />Mr. Patrick Henthorn, Engineering, requested this bid award be tabled at this time. Therefore,
<br />Mr. Gilot made a motion that the bid award be tabled. Ms. Roos seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — ANGELA BLVD. AND NORTHSHORE DRIVE SIGNAL LOOPS
<br />— PROJECT NO. 114 -023 (MVH)
<br />In a memo to the Board, Mr. Paul South, Street Department, advised the Board that on May 27,
<br />2014, quotations were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing
<br />those quotations, Mr. South recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest
<br />responsive and responsible bidder, Pemberton Davis Electric, Inc., 916 E. McKinley Ave.,
<br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46545, in unit bid prices. Therefore, Mr. Henthorn made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Roos
<br />seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 8 — DIGESTER NO. 2 UPGRADE AND DIGESTER GAS
<br />CLEANING — PROJECT NO. 111 -029 (WASTEWATER O &M, 2011 SEWER BOND)
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that Mr. Jacob Klosinski, Environmental Services, has submitted Change
<br />Order No. 8 on behalf of Grand River Construction, P.O. Box 323, 5025 40`4 Avenue,
<br />Hudsonville, Michigan, 49426, indicating the Contract amount be increased by $50,942.00 for a
<br />new contract sum, including this Change Order, in the amount of $5,818,797.00. Upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Henthorn, seconded by Mr. Relos and carried, the Change Order was approved.
