AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS I, II, III, IV, VI AND
<br />VIII OF ORDINANCE NO. 4207 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE
<br />AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE OF SEWAGE SERVICE
<br />CHARGES TO ALL USERS OF CITY SEWER SERVICE OR CITY
<br />WATER SERVICE, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REPAIR AND /.OR
<br />REPLACEMENT OF WATER SERVICE LINES, SHUT -OFF
<br />BOXES AND WATER METER MANHOLES,

<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />SECTION 1. That Section I of Ordinance No. 4207, which ordinance was
<br />adopted on the 13th day of January, 1958, be and the same is hereby amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />That the sum of twelve (. 121 cents per month be added to the sewage
<br />service charge of all domestic water or sewer users.
<br />SECTION 2. That Section II of Ordinance No. 4207, which ordinance was
<br />adopted on the 13th day of January, 1958, be and the same is hereby amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />That the sum of thirty -five (.35) cents per month be added to the sewage
<br />service charge of all commercial water or sewer users.
<br />SECTION 3. That Section III of Ordinance No. 4207, which ordinance was
<br />adopted on the 13th day of Januarys 1958, be and the same is hereby amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />That the sum of sixty (. 60) cents per month be added to the sewage
<br />service charge of all industrial water or sewer users.
<br />SECTION 4. That Section Iv of Ordinance No. 4207, which ordinance was
<br />adopted on the 13th day of January, 1958, be and the same is hereby amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />That all of said sums of money so collected be deposted in a separate
<br />fund of the Sewage Treatment Plant and that said fund be used solely
<br />for the repair and /or replacement of water service lines, shut -off
<br />boxes, and meter manholes. Water shut -off ooxes shall receive re-
<br />pair and /or replacement only if such shut -off boxes are leaking. This
<br />ordinance shall apply only to water users within the City limits.
<br />SECTION 5. That Section VI of Ordinance No. 4207, which ordinance was
<br />adopted on the 13th day of January, 1958, be and the same is hereby amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />For Commercial and Industrial accounts. This fund shall insure
<br />maintenance, repair and /or replacement of water service lines
