HUFF <br />DIRECTOR OF PLANNING <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of Whitmore Corporation to rezone 134 feet <br />of frontage located on the south side of East Jefferson Blvd. and <br />immediately east of the Fernwood Addition, from "A" Residential <br />to "C -I "Commercial and "A" Height and Area District was legally <br />advertised on 25 November, 1957 and given public hearing under <br />date of 5 December 1957. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that <br />property to the north and east was used and zoned <br />Commercially and that the adoption of the ordinance <br />would be a logical extension of Commercial zoning. <br />It was therefore duly moved, seconded and unanimously <br />carried that the petition be recommended favorably to <br />the Common Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PL NING COMMISSION <br />obert L.
