STATE OF INDIANA ) VERIFIED PETITION TO CHANGE ZONING <br />) SS: CLASSIFICATION OF REAL ESTATE FROM <br />ST. JOSEPH COUNTY ) "A" RESIDENTIAL TO "C -1" COMMERCIAL <br />"A" HEIGHT AND AREA DISTRICT <br />TO: HON. MAYOR VOORDE AND COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />Come now the undersigned Petitioners and respect- <br />fully show and submit the following: <br />1. The said Petitioners, John Van Vynckt and Luella <br />Van Vynckt, husband and wife, are the owners in fee simple, and <br />Petitioner Joseph A. Bauters, has an interest therein, by vir- <br />tue of having an exclusive option to purchase from the said <br />owners, of the following described real estate, situate in St. <br />Joseph County, State of Indiana, to -wit: <br />Lots 79, 80 and 81 in the recorded Plat <br />of Belmont Addition to the City of South Bend, <br />also commonly known as 3521, El Jefferson, 3517 E. Jefferson, <br />and 3513 E. Jefferson, respectively, consisting of three lots <br />with a total frontage on Jefferson of approximately 135 feet, <br />and a depth on 36th Street of approximately 125 feet. <br />2. That the said real estate is now presently zoned <br />and classified as residential property, Class "A ". <br />3. That it would be to the advantage of the said <br />owners and interested party, as well as all adjoining property <br />owners, and that the best uses and purposes of the said real <br />estate would be served if said property were classified as <br />commercial property, Class "C -111, "A" Height and Area District. <br />WHEREFORE, your Petitioner hereby respectfully pe- <br />titions to rezone and reclassify the above described real <br />estate to commercial property, Class "C -1 ", "A" Height and Area <br />District. <br />Submitted this __22V day of May, 1960. <br />Join Van vynax t, r.
