Hl1FF <br />DIRECTOR OF PLANNING <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />October 7, 1959 <br />The attached petition of Austin F. Riggs, et al, to rezone <br />Lots Numbered 113, 114 and 115 in Sorins Second Addition <br />to the City of South Bend, Indiana located at 920 North <br />Frances Street from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height <br />and Area District to "C" Commercial Use and "D" Height <br />and Area District was legally advertised on September 21, <br />1959 and given public hearing under date of October 1; <br />1959• The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that <br />commercial zoning of subject property would result <br />in a logical expansion of commercial zoning. It <br />was therefore duly moved, seconded and unanimously <br />carried that the petition be recommended favorably <br />to the Council. <br />Also attached is a consent petition bearing fourty -one <br />signatures, being approximately 98 per cent of the <br />property owners in the immediate vicinity. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Robert L.
