d/RZ) /Iq AivcL' ,vv x381 -6/ <br />AN ORDINANCE CREA.TILG AN OFFICIAL BUILDING CODE <br />FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CO741DN COUNCIL OF THE CIVIL CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INAIDNA: <br />SECTION 1 That the 1960 edition of the "Basic Building <br />Code" as promulgated by the Building Officials Conference <br />of America, Inc., four copies of which are on file with <br />the City Clerk and thereby made available for public <br />scrutiny, is hereby adopted as the Official Building <br />Code of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, except <br />for such changes, additions or deletions as may be here- <br />in specified. <br />SECTION 2 That wherever they shall appear in this <br />Ordinance or in the Basic Building Code, the words <br />"Basic Building Code" shall be synonomous with "_The <br />Building Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana;," <br />the words "Building Official" shall be synonomous <br />with "Building Commissioner;." and the word "Municipality" <br />shall be synonomous with "The Civil City of South Bend, <br />Indianai" <br />
