{ <br />y <br />Notice is hereby given that the City of South Bend, Indiana, act; <br />ing through its Board of Water Works Commissioners,will receive sealed <br />bids at the office of the Director of,IUtilities, 224 North Main Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, until the hour of 3:00 p.m. (EST) on the 18th day <br />of January 1971, for the following:r <br />SUPPLY OF CHEMICALS TO BE ORDERED AS NEEDED FOR A PERIOD <br />FROM FEBRUARY 7, 1971 TO FEBRUARY 7, 1972. ALL ITEMS ARE <br />STATED AS MAXIMUM QUANTITIES, BUT WATER WORKS RESERVES THE <br />RIGHT TO ORDER ONLY AMOUNTS .NEEDED, WHICH MAY BE LESS. <br />ITEM NO. 1 60 2,000 lb. cylinders of liquid chlorine <br />delivered in truckload lots of 10, <br />F.O.B. South Bend, Indiana; ordered as <br />needed. <br />ITEM NO. 2 10 2,000 lb, cylinders of liquid chlorine <br />delivered in single lots, F.O.B. Water <br />Works pumping stations; to be ordered <br />as needed. <br />ITEM N0. 3 380 150 lb. cylinders of liquid chlorine <br />delivered as needed, F.O.B. Water <br />Works pumping stations. <br />ITEM NO'. 4 175 Ton 25% Hydrofluosilicic Acid delivered in <br />tank truck loads. Bidders shall quote <br />price per ton and state applicable stop - <br />off and demurrage charges. Deliveries <br />are estimated as eight tank trucks with <br />two to four stop -offs per load. Supplier <br />must furnish own unloading hose at least <br />40 feet in length with proper couplings. <br />The Board reserves the right to accept bid as total or by item. <br />It also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept the <br />one which in its judgement will be to the best interest of the City of <br />South Bend. <br />i <br />;a <br />`i <br />i <br />
