CITY OF SOUTH BEND
South Bend, Indiana 46601
Jerry J. Miller
Mayor
Rollin E. Farrand, Sr., P. E.
Director, Public Works
Members of the South Bend Common Council
4th, Floor
Couhty -City Building
Gentlemen:
Reply To:
Michael L. Vance
3113 Riverside Dr.
So. Bend, Indiana
May 17, 1974
We are proposing an ordinance for your consideration which will, if
passed, fulfill the City's obligation on the Cambridge Drive Sanitary Sewer
Barret Law project, The City's portion of the project total cost is
$5,599-93 which amounts to 50%. We are asking that as in the past this
money be appropriated from'Cumulative Sewer Sinking and Building Fund.
believe it is important that we were able to keep costs down on this
project by doing the engineering and construction lay -out within the
Division of Engineering in the Dept. of Public Works.
Through keeping our costs down, and having the ability to pay con-
tractors within a responsible amount of time, we have recieved receptive
bids and have a very workable barrett law program.
Please feel free to contact me if there is a need for further infor-
mat ion.
Respectfully,
Michael L. Vance, Fiscal Officer
Dept, of Public Works
MLV :jb
