Community Alcoholism Program - CAP will offer expanded <br />counseling both individual and group, for alcoholics. <br />Counselors will have a specialty area in order to better <br />serve clients needs. Specialty areas will include voca- <br />tional counseling and placement, hospital and social <br />service liaison, Model Cities and Neighborhood Center <br />liaison and court liaison. This funding will allow for <br />more follow -up work which is critical to long -term sobriety. <br />It will allow more outreach work and family counseling to <br />be done. <br />3. Hope Rescue Mission - Hope Rescue Mission will provide <br />a holding facility which will act as an alternative to <br />jail for individuals arrested for public intoxication. <br />This will allow for adequate medical supervision and relieve <br />police officers for other duties. A withdrawl and treatment <br />center, also under medical supervision, will be provided for <br />individuals in need of detoxification. <br />Each of the three agencies will make referrals to each other <br />according to the needs of the client and the services of the agency. <br />The Mental Health Center of St. Joseph County, Inc., will be <br />the administrative agent for the funds. Contracts between the <br />Mental Health Center and the Alcoholism Council and between the <br />Mental Health Center and Hope Rescue Mission will be executed <br />detailing the specific services to be provided by each party. <br />Reimbursement by the Mental Health Center to the other parties <br />will be contingent upon the monthly receipt of invoices for ser- <br />vices rendered in accordance with the approved contract. <br />Sincerely, <br />William P. <br />WPH /et <br />G� <br />Hojnacki <br />
