ORDINANCE NO. 5- -7aa -7 / <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $10,000 FROM THE <br />CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND, LINE ITEM <br />260.0 AND $90,000 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND <br />STREET FUND TO PROJECT R & S 60 ORANGE STREET - <br />COLFAX STREET CONNECTOR, WITHIN THE LOCAL ROADS <br />AND STREETS FUND. <br />WHEREAS, there was enacted during the 1969 Session of the Indiana <br />General Assembly an Act, Chapter 392 of the Acts of 1969, making avail- <br />able to cities, towns and counties for engineering, construction or <br />reconstruction of roads, streets and bridges under local jurisdiction, <br />certain additional funds to be derived from the 7th and 8th cents of <br />Indiana motor fuel tax and fuel use tax and from increases in fees <br />levied under the Motor Vehicle Act, and <br />WHEREAS, no appropriation of such funds was included in the regular <br />1974 budget for the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana; and <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists requiring the appropriation and <br />expenditure of certain of said funds already received or to be received <br />before the end of the year; and <br />WHEREAS, funds are to be appropriated for the City's matching share <br />from the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. The following sums of money are hereby appropriated <br />and ordered set apart out of the Local Road and Street Fund and the <br />Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund for the purpose of right -of -way <br />purchase on the following project: <br />PROJECT NO.
