E. <br />Director, Public Works <br />South Bend Common Council <br />County City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />SUBJECT: Request to transfer $7000.00 from Account 110.0, Salaries <br />& Wages, Regular to 722.0 Motor Equipment. <br />Gentlemen, <br />We have $99,000.00 in our motor equipment account with <br />$48,650.00 used for a defered payment for the Mack trucks <br />purchased in 1975. This leaves $50,350.00. However, $56,875.00 <br />is needed to purchase two new tandem axle trucks equiped with <br />salt spreaders. These trucks will also be used for slurry <br />during the summer months.
