ORDINANCE NO. 5946 -76 <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $20,652 <br />FROM ACCOUNT #110.0 WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />SAFETY BUDGET TO ACCOUNT #110.0 "SALARIES & <br />WAGES ", WITHIN THE MAYOR'S BUDGET, ALL ACCOUNTS <br />BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND, OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed <br />since the adoption of the existing budget for the Office of Mayor, <br />in the General Fund, so that it is now necessary to appropriate <br />more money than was appropriated in the original budget for the <br />various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary <br />conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed for various accounts <br />within the Mayor's budget, in the General Fund budget to assure that <br />department's ability to properly perform its functions; and <br />WHEREAS, a surplus exists in various accounts of the <br />Dept. of Safety, in the General Fund, which are not presently needed: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. That the sum of $20,652.00 be transferred be- <br />tween various accounts as set forth below: <br />SECTION III. Each member of the Board of Safety shall <br />be compensated at the rate of $1,200.00, as provided by law. <br />SECTION IV.
