South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — Thursday, October 10, 2013 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />A. Public Hearing <br />(15) continued... <br />Ms. Leonard noted that the dollar amount for Resolution No. 3158 is $1,412,357 for <br />Operations, and $10,578 for the Capital budget. <br />Mr. Relos noted that the public hearing file is complete, containing: (1) A copy of the Notice <br />of Hearing; (2) a copy of Resolution No. 3158, the subject of the public hearing; (3) an <br />affidavit from Kim Wilson, Publisher of the South Bend Tribune, that the Notice of Hearing <br />was published in that newspaper on September 20, 2013; (4) an affidavit from Jason Jolly, <br />Classified Manager of the Tri- County News, that the Notice of Hearing was published in <br />that newspaper on September 20, 2013. <br />Ms. Jones opened the public hearing for whoever wished to speak. There was no one who <br />wished to speak regarding Resolution No. 3158. Ms. Jones closed the public hearing for <br />whatever action the Commission wished to take. <br />(16) Consideration of Resolution No. 3158. <br />Mr. Vamer asked if any salaries were being paid from this fund. Mr. Tim Firestone with <br />Kitson and Partners Club responded that they are not. What is being paid from this fund is <br />Administration and Management Fees, Building Maintenance, Course Maintenance and <br />Concessions. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 3158 (Fund 619, Blackthorn Golf Course <br />Operations). <br />(17) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 3170 appropriating funds from the Certified <br />Technology Park Fund for the payment of certain obligations and expenses related to <br />the Certified Technology Park. <br />Ms. Leonard noted that the dollar amount for Resolution No. 3170 is Three Million Six <br />Hundred Thousand and 00 /100 Dollars ($3,600,000). <br />Mr. Relos noted that the public hearing file is complete, containing: (1) a copy of Resolution <br />No. 3170 determining to make the appropriation and setting the public hearing on <br />Resolution No. 3171; (2) a copy of the Notice of Hearing; (3) a copy of Resolution No. <br />3171, the subject of the public hearing; (4) an affidavit from Kim Wilson, Advertising <br />Director of the South Bend Tribune, that the Notice of Hearing was published in that <br />newspaper on September 20, 2013; (5) an affidavit from Jason Jolly, Classified Manager of <br />the Tri- County News, that the Notice of Hearing was published in that newspaper on <br />September 20, 2013. <br />
