Parent <br />President <br />South Bend Common Council <br />400 County -City Bldg. <br />South Bend, IN <br />Dear Mr. Parent: <br />Reply To: <br />The enclosed appropriation ordinance for the Innovative <br />Grants Program, Project Rebate, includes the following attach- <br />ments: <br />Project Rebate guidelines <br />Project area maps <br />Budget sheet <br />D /HUD letter of credit <br />This project is intended to provide eligible homeowners, <br />landlords and small businessmen owning property in the approved <br />target areas with cash rebates based on a percentage of repairs <br />and improvements made to the property during the program year. <br />The percentage varies from 20% to 40% depending on type of owner- <br />ship, family size and income. The program is intended to act in <br />conjunction with existing housing programs in the preservation of <br />housing stock in our city. <br />If you have need of further information please contact me at <br />your earliest convenience.
