ORDINANCE NO. (AL' -7 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $13,500 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Additional funds are needed by the Bureau of Environmental Control to administer certain Public Safety Programs and to ensure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions during the year 1977. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The sum of $13,500 is hereby appropriated for the year 1977, from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appro- priation is to be administered by the Department of Administration and Finance and will be distributed as set forth below: PROGRAM FA 134 HUMANE SOCIETY - Account Description Amount - 250 Other Contractual Services $13,500 TOTAL FA 134 $13,500 SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after -its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations. kt READING PUELIC.
