One charger unit would <br />hold and charge thirty (30) batteries while not in use at the <br />Police Department and the other would be a five (5) unit charger <br />for the Bureau of Communications repair shop. <br />Modifications to the 700 milampre system allows for better <br />contact points in the charger unit, longer life of the battery <br />while out of the charger and more sending power. The system <br />should decrease down -time on radios, keeping the vehicles <br />functioning and available for regular beat assignment. <br />Your approval of this ordinance is requested. <br />
