ORDINANCE NO. 6167 -77 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $8,673 FROM THE FEDERAL <br />ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL <br />REVENUE SHARING FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS <br />TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH <br />ITS POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />Additional funds are needed by the Police Department to administer <br />certain Police Department Programs and to ensure the Department's <br />ability to properly perform its functions during the year 1977. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C014MON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND as follows: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $8,673 is hereby appropriated for the <br />year 1977 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known <br />as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is <br />to be administered by the Department of Administration and Finance <br />and will be distributed as set forth below: <br />PROGRAM FA 132 <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />RADIOS <br />ACCOUNT DESCRIPTION AMOUNT <br />Properties 724 Radio Equipment $8,673 <br />TOTAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION $8,673 <br />SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the <br />Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emer- <br />gency appropriation. <br />Passed, as amended, June 27, 1977 <br />
