Department of Public Parks
Administration Building
St. Louis Boulevard at Wayne Street
South Bend, Indiana 46617
PHONE: (219) 284 -9401
November 16, 1976
Mr. Roger Parent, President
South Bend Common Council
County -City Building
227 West Jefferson Boulevard
South Bend, Indiana
Dear Mr. Parent:
The Department of Public Parks is requesting the Common Council to
approve the enclosed ordinance in the amount of $6,903.25.
The funds will be used to pay for increased costs in premiums for
insurance that covers park facilities, equipment and increased cost
in the employee group insurance. We are requesting that $5,003.25
be transferred in Account #510.0, Current Charges, Insurance and
$1,900.00 into Account #640.0, Current Obligations, Group Insurance.
The funds are being transferred from Account #130.0, Services Personal,
extra and overtime. There is a balance in this account because the de-
partment made a concentrated effort to reduce overtime work during the
year and had a reduction in park employees. The extra and overtime
account has been reduced in the 1977 budget.
Very truly yours,
MENT OF P L C PARKS
R. Seitz,
JRS:kb
enclosure
