222 Gas
The budget figure for 1976 is $40, 200. We are requesting 20, 000 for 1977.
We expect the plant usage to be $15, 000 the reduction is possible because of the
shut down of the soluble oil burner.
The Plant diesel engines are capable of operating on three different types
of fuel; digester gas, NIPSCO gas, and diesel fuel oil. We operate as much
as possible on digester gas. However, our digester gas production does not
meet all our fuel needs. Our digester gas production for 1975 is estimated
at 64, 000, 000 cu. ft. with estimated value of $45, 000.
The NIPSCO rate per CCF has gone up from an average of just under 10¢
in early 1974 to about 13.3¢ in March of 1976. This is a 3370 increase. We
have not made provisions for any future rate increase by NIPSCO.
224 Water
The 1976 budget figure was for $18, 600. We are requesting 1, 000. In
late 1975 arrangements were made with water works people not to charge
the Plant sewage fees. This therefore reflects water only.
252 Equipment Repair
The budget figure for 1976 is 15, 000. We are requesting $20, 000 for 1977.
This account is primarily for emergency repairs performed by outside
sources when we do not have the capability of doing the job ourselves. Some
of these repairs are:
Major pump failure repairs
Electric motor reqinding
Repairs of Plant monitoring equipment
Crane service for handling large equipment
Millwright works - installation of major items of
machinery.
