Parent, President <br />South Bend Common Council <br />County -City Building <br />227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. Parent: <br />The Department of Parks is requesting the Common Council to <br />approve the enclosed ordinance, in the amount of $21,000.00, <br />for the purchase of playground equipment. <br />In an attempt to replace old worn out playground equipment <br />and to add additional playground equipment to our parks, these <br />funds are being requested. The funds will add approximately <br />twenty -three pieces of equipment to six (6) different parks. <br />The playground equipment will consist of four single spiral <br />slides; four Whirls, eight foot diameter; one - three leg heavy <br />duty modern swing; seven Bunker Hill climbers; four Ramble <br />Climbers; one Jack "N" Jill Climber; and two Rainbow Arch <br />Climbers. <br />Suggested parks for new playground equipment are: Studebaker, <br />Coquillard, Voorde, Navarre, Muessl and Memorial.
