Department of Public Parks
Administration Building
St. Louis Boulevard at Wayne Street
South Bend, Indiana 46617
PHONE: (219) 284 -9401
October 27, 1976
Mr. Roger 0. Parent, President
South Bend Common Council
County -City Building
227 West Jefferson Boulevard
South Bend, Indiana
Dear Mr. Parent:
The Department of Parks is requesting the Common Council to
approve the enclosed ordinance, in the amount of $13,000.00,
for bleachers and fencing at Belleville Park.
With the construction of two softball fields, a baseball field
and a football field, at Belleville Park, the Park Department
has received numerous requests that bleachers be erected at these
new facilities. The baseball field at Belleville is probably the
best baseball field in the area and draws a large number of
spectators for high school and American Legion baseball games.
The fencing will be used to fence in the outfields of the two soft-
ball fields at Belleville.
Very truly yours,
DEPA TMENT OF P LIC PARKS
J es R.
