The <br />United Way Day Care Program was found to be necessary and appropriate to <br />support other CD activities in those areas. <br />This $30,000 would be matched with $57,000 in State of Indiana Contingency <br />Funds to generate $345,023.10 in Day Care services under Title XX for St. <br />Joseph County area. <br />The U.S. Congress has defined the general categories of people who may be <br />eligible to receive services financed under Title XX. These include persons <br />or families in the following groups: <br />(1) Recipients of Aid to Families with Dependent Children <br />(AFDC); <br />(2) Recipients of Supplemental Social Security Income <br />(SSI); <br />(3) Families with limited income (In Indiana, most services <br />are available to individuals whose family income is less <br />than 50 percent of the state's median income for a similar <br />size family. Some Title XX Social Services are available <br />up to the 80 percent level); and <br />(4) Children or adults in danger of abuse or neglect, 'RIM IN CLERKS OFFICE <br />regard to their family income.
