MILLER
Re: Amendment on Sealed Proposals
for
Third District
City Insurance Coverage
ROGER O. PARENT
Fourth District
ROBERT G. TAYLOR
Dear Councilmen:
Fifth District
WALTER T. KOPCZYNSKI
The attached ordinance is presented
in the
Sixth District
MARY CHRISTINE ADAMS
interest of correcting a typographical
error In
At Large
Ordinance No. 5957 -76 which was passed
by the Council
RICHARD C. DOMBROWSKI
on March 8, 1976. You will recall that
that ordinance
At Large
FRANK HORVATH
established a system whereby all city insurance
would
At Large
be sought by the Board of Public Works
receiving sealed
proposals from insurance companies. Unfortunately,
the
wrong chapter and article numbers were
incorporated.
Therefore, the new ordinance corrects this clerical
error and also substitutes "sealed proposal" or "pro-
posal" throughout the ordinance instead of the words
"bid" or "bidder" for added clarification.
Your favorable support on this amendment would be
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Marhristine Adams
Councilman -at -Large
MCA
Attachment
