NEMETH, Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />June 20, 1977 <br />Members of the Common Council <br />441 County /City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Dear Councilmen: <br />219/284 -9251 <br />Attached you will find an ordinance requesting an appropriation of <br />$200,000 from the Community Development Grant Fund to be used in <br />conjunction with the Orange Street /Colfax Street Connector Project. <br />It is proposed that these monies will be utilized for the construction <br />of storm sewers within the project area, and will serve as a partial <br />match to the Federal -Aid Urban Funds which make up the bulk of the <br />funding for this project. As of this writing, the following figures <br />represent the proposed funding for the construction of this project: <br />Local Road and Street Fund $ 175,000 <br />Community Development Funds 200,000 <br />Federal -Aid Urban Funds 875,000 <br />TOTAL $1,250,000 <br />This request of Community Development Funds is consistent with the <br />1977 Community Development Program.
