L/O ) el- j8 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BUREAU OF WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND (1) GATES CHEVROLET CORP., SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND (2) SHAMROCK FORD TRUCK SALES, INC., SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN MOTOR, VEHICLES IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $47,945.30. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: To approve the purchase of motor vehicles as purchase is required in the operation of the Bureau of Water. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the Contract entered into between the Bureau of Water of South Bend, Indiana, and (1) Gates Chevrolet Corp., South Bend, Indiana, and (2) Shamrock Ford Truck Sales, Inc., South Bend, Indiana, on the 20th day of February, 1978 and the 6th day of March, 1978, respectively, pursuant to advertisina and receipt of bids, in a total quantity and a total cost not to exceed the quantity and cost itemized for each classification in the total amount of $47,945.30, is hereby approved and confirmed: 1.
