ORDINANCE NO. gad- 2i AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $62,554.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR THE POLICE RE- CRUIT PROGRAM, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Additional funds are needed by the Police Department to insure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions during the year 1978. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: SECTION I. That the sum of $62,544.00 is hereby appro- priated for the year 1978 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund., commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Fund.
