Motion carried. REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred An Ordinance appropriating from the General Fund $75.00 to Office of the City'Judge, Account E -13, Pauper Attorney, all of the Budget for the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, for 1956, and declaring an extraordinary.emergency, Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this Ordinance should be withdrawn. It was recommended by the Committee of the Whole that the Ordinance Committee meet with the City Attorney and the City Judge in order to draft an Ordinance that would cover Pauper Attorney Fees - for the entire year instead of for each individual case. GEORGE W. CARR, Chairman Councilman Glass made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Carr seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: 11 January 1957 The attached petition of Colpaert Realty Corporation was legally advertised under date of 24 December 1956 and given Publ c hearing uiideV* date of 3 January 1957. This Petition seeks to change the following described land from "C" Commercial to "B" Height and Area District: Beginning 175 feet from the intersection of Huron and Lombardy Drive and being 45 feet.North therefrom on Lombardy and 250 feet in depth; And in addition to change from "B" Residential to "C" Commercial and "E" Height and Area District, the following land: Beginning 175 feet North of Huron Street and the North -South alley immediately West of Gladstone Street, thence 58 -4 feet North, thence 435 feet West, thence 58.4 feet South, thence 435 feet East. The following action was taken: After due consideration, it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorabl to the Common Council. REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: 11 January 1957 The attached Petition of Belleville Investment Company to zone from "B" Residential to "A" Residential and "A" Height And Area District all land abutting Scenic Drive from Ford Street to Mayflower Road, being Lots 704 through 749 of Belleville Unit "E" Addition; was legally advertised under date of 24 December 1956 and given public hearing under date of 3 January, 1957. The following action was taken: After due consideration, it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorably to the Common Council.
