REGULAR MEETING <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular session in the <br />Council Chambers, Monday, Julie 11, 1956, at 8:06 P.M., (C.D.S.T.), with all members present. President Korpal <br />presided. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bendu <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes would respectfully report that they have inspected <br />the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. The communication concerned the Toll Road By -pass. <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the communication be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />PETITION TO AMEND AND SUPPLEMENT ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, <br />AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />The undersigned owners hereby petition your honorable body to amend and supplement Zoning Ordinance No. <br />3702, as heretofore amended, of the City of South Bend, Indiana, by zoning the following.described property as <br />"A" Residence District and "A" Height and Area District" <br />Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 375, Twyckenham Hills, Section "G" present city <br />limits; thence north along the west line of the east half of the southeast quarter (SE4) <br />of gEction 19. Township 37 North, Range 3 East, a distance of 1155 feet to the east and <br />west center line of said Section 19; thence north along the west line of the east half <br />of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) 646.5 feet to the Plat of Wilmore Hills, Section "A "; thence <br />easterly along the southern boundary of the Flats of Wilmore Hills, Section "A" and Wilmore <br />Hills, Section "B "' 661.75 feet to the southeast corner of Wilmore„Hills, Section "B "; <br />thence easterly 656.79 feet to a point on the east line of said SEction 19, which point is <br />661.2 feet northerly from the east Quarter section corner; thence "southerly along the easterly <br />line of said Section 19, a distance of 661.2 feet to the east Quarter section corner; thence <br />still south along the said easterly line of said Section 19, a distance of 990 feet; thence <br />West 727.70 feet; thence south parallel with and 727.70 feet west of the east line of said <br />Section 19, a distance-of 770.35 feet to the present city limits; thence west along the <br />present city limits, a distance of 736.25 feet; thence north along the present city limits <br />607-.3Y feet to the south line of Twyckenham Hills, Section "G" thence east along the present <br />city limits 146.80 feet to the place of beginning, excepting therefrom the following two <br />described parcels of real estate: <br />PARCEL 1: <br />Beginning at a point 10 feet North and 40 feet West of the Northeast corner of the Southeast <br />Quarter (SE4), Section 19, Township 37 North, Range 3 East; thence West parallel with and <br />10 feet youth of the East and West center line of said Section 19, a distance of 687.70 feet; <br />thence South 435 feet; thence East parallel with and 445 feet South of the said East and Rest <br />center line of such Section 19, a distance of 687.70 feet to a point 40 feet West of the East <br />line of said SEction 19, (center line of Ironwood Drive); thence North 435 feet to the place <br />of beginning, containing 6.86 acres. <br />PARCEL 2: <br />Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 359, Twyckenham Hills, Section "G "; thence South <br />along the East line of said Lot 359 a distance of 360 feet to the Southeast corner of such <br />lot 359; thence North 71 degrees and 34 minutes East, a distance of 158.1 feet; thence <br />East, 145.3 feet; thence North 310 feet; thence West 295.30 feet, to the place of be- <br />ginning, containing 2.18 acres. <br />The undersigned owners further petition your honorable body to amend and supplement Zoning Ordinance <br />No. 3702, as heretofore amended, of the City of South Bend, Indiana, by zoning the above parcel 1, "C -2" <br />Commercial District, and by zoning the above Parcel 2; "B" Residence District and "B" Height and Area District. <br />There accompanies this petition a proposed Ordinance amending and supplementing Zoning Ordinance No. <br />3702, as heretofore amended, to zone such property in accordance with this petition. <br />Dated this5th day of June, 1956. <br />PLACE AND COMPANY, INC. <br />BY: /s/ Joseph A.
