REGULAR MUTING <br />tit iiittifiittil iiiil ittiitl til itttitiii fititiitiiilitltilffiit <br />SEPTEMBER 12Th, 1955 <br />The Common Council of the City of South..Bend, Indiana, met in the Council Chamber on the 12th day of September, <br />1955, at the hour of 8:26 P.M. (E.S.T.), in regular session in accordance with the rules of the Council. <br />The meeting was called to order by President, Walter C. Erler, Sr., who presided. <br />Present: Councilmen Walter C. Erler Sr., Stanley Korpal, <br />Michael Pinter, Cloyd Bestle, Clem Niezgodski, <br />Walter Glass, William Hahn and Chester Muszynski. <br />Absent: None. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have <br />inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend <br />that the same be approved. <br />WALTER C. ERLER SR. ) <br />STANLEY C. KORPAL ) Committee <br />Meeting of August 22nd and Special Meeting August 29th, 1955. WILLIAM A. RAHN ) <br />Councilman Glass moved that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />COMMUNICATION <br />Mr. Walter Erler, President <br />South tend City Council <br />City Hall <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. Erler: <br />August 26, 1955 <br />Enclosed herewith for your information is a copy of a Resolution in regard to the important community concern <br />of governmental buildings and facilities. <br />This Resolution was adopted by the Board of Directors of the Association of Commerce at their regular meeting <br />August 26, 1955. All directors expressed a most lively intarest and fully recognized the tremendous importance' <br />of -- -this matter. They also expressed a desire and"eagerness to be of assistance in such ways as they could <br />offering the counsel and talents of business and industrial leaders who compose our membership to the public <br />officials who will ultimately make the final decision. <br />Cordially yours, <br />W.
